• Name	Manuel LOPEZ
  Birth	Abt 1898	Spain   [1]
  Gender	Male

  Death	Yes, date unknown
Notes	I haven't been able to ascertain Manuel's ancestry with any certainty. It seems likely that he was born in Spain about 1898 and immigrated to the USA (Puerto Rico) in 1910. The following 1930 US census record may (or may not) refer to him, living in Puerto Rico with a wife and son. However, if the record does relate, there's no sign in 1940 of Dolores or son Lorimer. 1930 US Federal Census: in District 0040, San Anton, Ponce, Puerto Rico, Manuel LOPEZ y MARCOS (head, 32, married, born in Spain, as were parents, arrived in USA in 1910, not naturalized, mechanic in a factory), Dolores CLAVELL de LOPEZ (wife, 22, married, born in Puerto Rico, as were parents) and Lorimer LOPEZ y CLAVELL, son, 3y 2m). Also a lodger Rosa DESCIA(?) (32, single, born Puerto Rico). If that was Manuel in Puerto Rico in 1930, I don't know when he left and arrived in Texas. But he was almost certainly there when the 1940 census was done, and had married and had had a family. 1940 US Federal Census: at 1013 Bryan Avenue, Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas (all LOPEZ), Manuel (head, 42, born Spain, alien, cook at general hospital), Mary R (wife, 26, born Oklahoma), Mary F (daughter, 9, born Texas), Ella L (daughter, 3, born Texas) and Janette (daughter, 11 months, born Texas). In 1935 the family were in Tarrant, Texas. 1950
