Four generations Thomas and Frances's descendants Supplied by Anne Kelley, this is thought to be an early photograph of Anne's grandfather Alfred Edward Minter. Alfred Edward Minter born 1894, Penge, Surrey Thomas (seated) and Alfred (in uniform, standing) were the eldest sons of Thomas Henry Minter born 1871 and Frances Emily Minter nee Bailey. Thanks to Ruth Rolfe for identifying which brother is which. Judging from how Thomas and Alfred are dressed, it appears that the photo was taken on the same occasion as the group photo above. Alfred married in September 1917 and his military service ended in February 1919 which seems to indicate that the photos were taken between these dates. The names of most of the people are unknown but it's a fair guess that members of the bride's family are on her side and of the groom's family on his side. Alfred's parents are behind him. Frank Albert Minter born 1909, Penge, Surrey This family photo shows Frank's widow Daisy Ellen Minter nee Palmer and seven of her eight children: Back row (left to right): Brenda (1936), Helen (1945), Frank (1934), Jean Daisy (1930), Maureen (1942) Front row (left to right): Margaret (1950), Daisy herself, Dennis Frank (1929) The picture dates from between 1968 and 1989. The one missing was Pamela (1938). Frank's widow Daisy with children Jean, who married James J Patterson in 1951, was one of the daughters of Frank Albert and Daisy Ellen Minter nee Palmer. The photo was taken opposite the church on Torridon Road, Catford, close to Jean's home. She worked as a school crossing lady for many years and was given a long service award.
