- Baptised as William Henry per Cliff Minter. But known later in life as Henry C Minter.
1862 - 65 Served in the military and in the US Civil War in Co. 1, 8th Regt. NY Calvalry. In July 1863 at the Battle of Gettysburg he was injured by having his horse shot from under him, by the Rebels, the horse having injured Henry's leg by falling on him.
Discharged from the military on 7 June 1865.
1890: appeared in the Veterans Rolls, living in Oneida, New York, USA
