  Notes	From findagrave.com: YORKTOWN — Cynthia Kay Minter, 50, went to sleep and woke in the presence of Jesus on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007. She was a native of the Peninsula and had been a resident of Harrisonburg since 1976. She was a Media Resource Technician in the Library Department of James Madison University and will be greatly missed by her supervisor, Jeff. She leaves behind in the Harrisonburg area, her close friends, Fran, Lorene, Harold and Christy. She was a member of the Broadstreet Mennonite Church where she also leaves many friends. In 1979, she graduated from Eastern Mennonite College. Preceding her in rest is her father, John R. Minter Sr. Surviving members of her family include her mother, Lois P. Minter; brothers, Rev. John R. Minter Jr. and wife, Susan, and Russell Ray Minter and wife, Linda; 10 nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles including her favorite aunt "Pug." A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Yorkminster Baptist Church, 3105 Hampton Highway, Yorktown, VA 23693, with the Rev. John R. Minter Jr. presiding. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial at Parklawn Memorial Park will be held privately.
