    • 1911 census: Arthur, 27, single, born Snaresbrook, Essex was living-in as a barman at a pub at 124 Blackfriars Road, London SE.

      By the time of the 1921 census Arthur and his wife were both dead and the children who had survived past infancy were to be found as follows:
      Arthur Cyril - lived as an adopted son with Frederick William and Emily BOND
      Kathleen Anne - not found, unfortunately
      Queenie - was in a childrens home in Leytonstone

      The information about Arthur's death comes from his grandson, Roger Willee in Tasmania.

      November 2015: according to Arthur's granddaughter Pam Porter nee Sims:
      "Until recently I worked at the General Register Office (GRO) and many years ago I was able to look at the army death register relating to him It stated that he actually died in Alexandria Egypt from Pneumonia.

      Also in relation to work I visited the offices of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and they kindly did some research for me and provided details that he is buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery and got one of the gardeners there to take a photo of his grave."
