Marian A. Hunsley

Marian A. Hunsley, 97, of Edinburg died at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005, in Heritage Manor Care Center, Springfield.
She was born December 1, 1907, in Wayne, NE, the daughter of Harvey J. and Fannie A. Miner. She married Lorne E. Hunsley on July 29, 1929, in Wayne NE. He died in 1973. She was an elementary teacher, beginning her career in Sioux City, IA, in 1928. She taught in the Edinburg schools from 1930 until her retirement in 1973, taking out several years to raise her family. She was a member of the Edinburg United Methodist Church for more than 70 years. She was a life member of Edinburg Chapter O.E.S. and a member of Lioness Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Christian County Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are her sons, Thomas (wife Mary) Hunsley of Morton and Stephen (wife Rita) Hunsley of Edinburg; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Eloise; and brother, Ellis "Bud."
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 3, in Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Ray Radae officiating. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be held for three hours prior to services in the funeral home.
