Survivors include his mother, Judith Ann Minter of Heflin; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Randall and Sandra Minter of Heflin; his grandmother, Irene Cheatwood; and a niece, Abby Minter. Burial, Pine Grove Cemetery.
