- Richard, aged 25, born Camberwell appears in the 1911 census living at the Infantry Barracks, Fulford Road, York. Richard was a Private in the 2nd Bn, Alexandra Princess of Wales Yorkshire Regiment.
In the same Barracks was Richard's brother Stephen, 35 who was also a Private in the 2nd Bn, Alexandra Princess of Wales Yorkshire Regiment.
It appears that Richard was baptised twice, the first time on 8 July 1891, then again on 3 May 1893, both times at Christ Church, Camberwell.
1921 census: at 40, Rectory Place, Woolwich, London (all MINTER), Richard (head, 35y 3m, married, born Camberwell, London, crane driver at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich), Mary Elizabeth (wife, 34y 9m, married, born Gt.
