She was born on March 18, 1921, in Danville, the daughter of the late Willie Eddie Hubbard and Gracie Bell Simpson Hubbard. She was the last member of her generation. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Surviving is one stepdaughter, Jane Brown, of Danville; one cousin, Rachel Gammon; and one niece, Jean Beach. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son, one sister, and three brothers. Graveside services for Mrs. Evans were held at Highland Burial Park 3 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, with Bob Young officiating. Barker Funeral Home is respectfully serving the Evans family."
