She was born in Eden, NC, on June 27, 1946, a daughter of Clifton Ford Minter and Clara Elaine Murphy Minter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Sandridge, and brother, David Minter. She was a cosmetologist. Surviving are son Richard Chaney (Brittany) of Shallotte; daughter, Shelby Hamilton (Brian) of Wilmington; sister, Marie Dell of St. Petersburg, FL; and son-in-law, Mike Sandridge of Eden. She was cherished grandmother of eight and adored great-grandmother of six. Services will be private.
