  Notes	November 2007: Jon Piesing has been in touch. He believes he is a descendant of John Pising who married Susanna Minter, born 8 Oct 1762 in Folkestone. Jon’s research has suggested that John Pising and Susanna moved to Guernsey in the early 1790s, and that Susanna was buried there on 19 March 1794as witnessed by a page from the burial register. The entry reads 'Susanne Winter, femme de Jean Piseing, a ate enterre le 19 de Mars 1794'. Jon adds that 'The researchers in Guernsey library ... believe that listing Minter as Winter is reasonable for the period in Guernsey'.
