    Notes 
    • Harry George's death certificate shows his parents as Millard Minter and Ruby Sapp. This is not true: his father was George Washington Phillips - he was 19 when he and Rubie (17) had Harry. It's unclear what happened to George Washington Phillips: either he and Rubie never married or they were married but divorced.

      Harry was evidently married twice. He appeared with his first wife in the 1940 census (see below) but then married Alfarene (Renny) BARTON. She was the informant when he died.

      1940 United States Federal Census: in E Beckley St, Dallas, Dalas, Texas (all MINTER, born Texas), Harry G (head, 25, repairman, retail bakery), Pheba (wife, 21), Ollie (son, 4) and Dolores (daughter, 1).
      Harry and Pheba were at the same place in 1935.

      Harry's death was the result of an auto accident. He was alone in his pickup on Hiway 429 in Hunt County when it left the road and tuned over 3 times.
