  Notes	From findagrave.com, Nov 2015: Mr. Jewell Lee "Bill" Minter, age 90 of Symsonia, KY passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 6:43 p.m. at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. Born Monday, November 5, 1923, he was the son of the late Cecil Clyde Minter and the late Verna Emmaline (Finch) Minter. He was a retired Plumber and Steamfitter with local 184 in Paducah, KY. He has 62 years of service with local 184. He was also a life long cattle farmer. He honorably served his country during World War II as a Paratrooper with the 101 Airborne Division. He was a member of Elva Baptist Church. Surviving are his son, Ronnie C. Minter, wife Debbie of Symsonia, KY, four daughters, Phyllis A. Collins of Symsonia, KY, Pam S. Lister, husband Ron of Paducah, KY, Janice Vaughn, husband Tommy of Symsonia, KY and Patricia Sanford of Symsonia, KY, two brothers, Glendon L. Minter of Benton, KY and Elwood Minter of Peoria, IL., nine grandchildren, Lana Bridges of Symsonia, KY., Chad Collins of Symsonia, KY., Jeff Minter of Symsonia, KY., Brian Lister of West Paducah, KY., Cheryl Jackson of Symsonia, KY., Jake Vaughn of Symsonia, KY., Spencer Sanford of Wingo, KY., Jennifer Sanford of Mayfield, KY., Vickie Vaughn of Nashville, TN. Eleven great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years, Ruby (Wyatt) Minter, son-in-law, Glen Collins, three brothers, Joe Ed Minter, Virgil Clay Minter and Avery Gene Minter, also two sisters, Marie Gates and Dovie LaTressie Crowley. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Bro. Jimmy Seaford, Bro. Joel Frizzell, Bro. Mike Littrell will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Wallace Cemetery, Symsonia, KY. Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wallace Cemetery Fund, 2391 Oak Level Elva Rd., Symsonia, KY 42082.
