  Notes	From www.legacy.com: Edith Minter, 94, a native Texan and longtime resident of Beaumont passed away Monday, October 29, 2007. Mrs. Minter is survived by her two daughters, Janice Kite of Houston, Carolyn Buss of Dallas, four grandchildren, Andrea C. York, Robert D. Kite, Wayne M. Buss and Michelle L. Freeze and two great granddaughters, Emma York and Madeline York. Mrs. Minter was a long time member of the Spindletop Chapter of ABWA and received the honor of Woman of the Year. One of her many hobbies was her membership in A Thyme for Herbs. She participated in many yearly herb-cooking contests, winning many awards including first place in the entree category. She was a member of First Christian Church and helped plan and decorate for many of her Sunday School class parties. Family and friends will honor her memory on November 1, 2007, at a Memorial service at 2:30 pm, First Christian Church, 5290 N. Caldwood Dr., Beaumont, TX.
