  Notes	October 2012: email from Robert Letchford: "My gggrandfather was john ralph x ellen tong*. their son henry r tong my ggrandfather(born out of wedlock later married) married jane ann shilling my ggrandmother. she was the daughter of william shilling and sarah branchett (gggrandparents)William shilling was the son of john shilling and sarah branchett was daughter of richard branchett and charlotte bass.I grew up in boughton under blean/dunkirk/south st/selling area and these were some of the largest families in the area in the 1800s. my maternal grandmother was emily jane tong born about 1888 they are mostly all buried in boughton churchyard. therefore we are related to the minters through the branchetts and the Ralphs we are also related to the rooks, harris, beal, and half the surrounding area it seems."
