  Notes	John's wife's surname was possibly FINCH. No record of their marriage has been found. Graham Minter comments as follows (August 2012): "The reference to the marriage to Ann Finch is in the user-submitted section [of the IGI]. It has the year as "about 1715" and no location. It is probably pure guesswork. The marriage does not appear in the Marlesford records or Boyd's. We probably both got the info from the IGI. The info must therefore be open to doubt although, as we have no alternative marriage by John Minter during this period, I suppose we could keep it in for now (with an appropriate note) until we can prove it right or wrong. I've no idea where the Finch name comes from: there is no maiden name quoted in any of the children's baptism records."
