The preceding entry on the page is for John's first cousin James Minter born Mar 1867. 1910 United States Federal Census: in Justice Precinct 1, Upshur, Texas (all MINTER born Georgia), John A (65, widower, farmer), Dicie A ** (daughter, 39, single, farm laborer), Robert (son, 37, farm laborer), John (son, 34, farm laborer), Early Q(??) (son, 27, farm laborer), and Lizzie (daughter, 22, farm laborer). Also two grandsons Crockett HOAT(?) (5) and Robt HOAT(?) (1). ** these are almost certainly references to the same person. I'm assuming her name was the one used in 1910, Dicie A. It looks to me as if Dicie was the 49 year-old Dicy who appeared in the 1920 census. For more on this, see Dicie's Notes.
