  Notes	Martinsville Bulletin, 4 July 2019: Clara Minter McGhee, 99, of Martinsville, Va., passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Blue Ridge Rehab. She was born April 30, 1920 in Henry County, Va. to the late Joseph Minter and Lucy Minter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman F. McGhee; son, J. Stan McGhee; and sisters, Daisy, Bertha, Vergie, Estelle, and Ethel; and brothers, Paul, Tommy, Gold, and Archie. Clara was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church and retired from Globman's Department Store. She was a 1938 graduate of Axton High School. She is survived by her son, Donald W. McGhee and wife, Lynn of Ridgeway, Va.; sister-in-law, Dorothy W. McGhee of Martinsville, Va.; and granddaughter, Kimberly McGhee of Fieldale, Va. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Lewis Harris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
