  Notes	1921 census: Lilian MINTER (39y 5m, single, born Huntingfield, Suffolk) was a nurse (untrained) V.A.D. Assistant at the Ministry of Pensions Hospital, Whinney House, Shotley Bridge, Benfieldside, Durham. The following is taken from a document written by Nick Metcalfe, October 2011: "Born in 1891 at Huntingfield, Suffolk. Served as a Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse with the Territorial Forces Medical Service. Died in Edson, Alberta in January 1956." ancestry.com, Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 show that Lillian Minter left Liverpool on 17 October 1925 on the SS Montnairn. She was 34, single, born Huntingfield, England and gave her relative in England as her mother Mrs Minter, Hope Cottage, Framlingham. She was travelling as governess with James and Kathleen LETTERS and their daughter Patricia. They arrived at Quebec, Canada on 24 October 1925. The census carried out by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics in June 1926 (copy supplied by Mike Minter) shows, in Gilt Edge, Alberta (Electoral District Battleriver 41), two people named Minter. The name of the first, the head of the household, is indecipherable but appears to end "...uce". It refers to a male aged 33 who arrived in Canada in 1920 and must therefore refer to Rufus. The second Minter is Lillian, sister [of Rufus], aged 36, arrived in Canada in 1925.
