| Notes |
- National School Admission Registers & Log-books 1870-1914 at findmypast.co.uk:
The following probably refers to Letitia Amelia - Laura (amended to Louisa) born 5 Jun 1883 of Rampart Rd, started at Northgate Infants School, Great Yarmouth on 8 Nov 1886. She stayed there until 28 Oct 1887 when she "left residence, gone to workhouse". The parent or guardian's name is shown as Mrs Dorkin, G.
1901 census: as Amelia Minter, 17, tailoress on her own account, Amelia was living with her grandmother Hannah Minter (qv).
1911 census: as Letitia Amelia Minter: aged 27, single, tailoress, borm Great Yarmouth, a boarder at 65 Sisters Avenue, Clapham Common, London SW (8 rooms), home of James HAWKESFORD (who signed the form) and family.
As Letitia A Minter, Amelia married William G SWAIN in Q2 1911 (Wandsworth 1d/958). They had a son William A J SWAIN in Q2 1912 (Yarmouth 4b/13). Their Parish Register entry for this marriage gives Letitia's father as Charles Minter, fisherman so there may be a mix-up here.
