- Living in a cottage in Ash Street when advertised for sale in 1791.
Volunteered to serve with the Ash volunteers in 1795 as of New Street as servant with cattle in the event of invasion.
Further note added by Cliff Minter August 2007:
Apprenticed to John Pack baker of Canterbury on 11 May 1758 for the sum of £20. Admitted a freeman of Canterbury on 8 Mar 1774 a baker of Edmonton by apprenticeship to John Park baker of Canterbury.
The 1830 Canterbury Poll Book lists Henry Minter of Enfield, Middlesex as a Freeman. (Source Ancestry.com, UK, Poll Books and Electoral Registers, 1538-1893).
The date and place of Henry's marriage and the identity of his wife are unknown. She may have been called Martha: a Martha Minter was buried, aged 87, on 6 February 1837 from Enfield Poorhouse. Henry Minter was buried 'as Poor'.
There are two burial records for Henry in the London Metropolitan Archives. The fullest reads:
Henry Minter 89th year from Chaseside formerly a baker as Poor.
