  Notes	August 2013. Email from Nigel Monks: In amongst my house deeds, I found a copy of Annie Minter Spearpoint's last will & testament. Annie died in 1913 and probate was in 1914. Annie Minter Spearpoint built the house we live in. The will states that her niece was allowed to live here until her death (which was in the 1940s). I live in Bournemouth. September 2013. Copy of the Will received. It was dated 26 July 1909 and gives two addresses, 22 Cheriton Gardens, Folkestone, Kent and 'The Retreat', Kingswell Road, Ensbury Park, Kinson, Dorset. Brother Thomas Spearmont ['mont' crossed out in favour of 'point'] and brother-in-law Arthur Edward Watts appointed as executors & trustees. Legacies as follows: - Brother Thomas Spearpoint and sisters Jane Minter Pledge and Elizabeth Clark Minter Watts £250 each (to be divided among their children if they pre-decease). - Nephews Alfred Oscar Minter Cooper and Thomas Augustus Cooper £250 on trust: the income and part of the capital to be paid to sister, Mary Minter Cooper during her lifetime. Any residue to go to Alfred Oscar Minter Cooper and Thomas Augustus Cooper. - 'The Retreat' to trustees to sell and invest the proceeds for the benefit of niece Mary Isabel Simmons during her life. But the sale to be delayed until the death of Mary Isabel Simmons so that she can occupy the property or receive income from it while still alive. After her death and the sale of the property, the proceeds to go to Mary Isabel Simmons' children. - Mary Isabel Simmons to receive the contents of 'The Retreat' except jewellery etc. - Residue of estate divided equally between brother and three sisters.
