  Notes	From findagrave.com, May 2015: Opal Peek, 84, of Crosby, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2010. Opal was born on April 28, 1925 in Crockett, Texas to Evan and Ella Minter. Opal was a God fearing, Bible believing woman who walked the talk. Her family came second after her relationship with Christ. She exercised tough love when rearing her boys, loved to fish, was a good cook and in years past, enjoyed working in the yard. She spent most of her life as a caretaker. In recent years, Opal become fond of angels and began collecting them, now she's living among them. Opal was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Collin (Lucky) Minter and Nathan Minter; sister, Joann Bailey; and granddaughter, Stacy Perritt. Left behind to cherish her memory are sons, Johnny Peek of Moss Hill and Glen Peek and wife, Tammy of Crosby; brother W.E. Minter and wife, Lynda of Normangee; grandson, Jacob Peek of Crosby; granddaughter, Kimberly Garcia of Victoria; great-granddaughter, Ashley Reagan of Yolkum; niece, Shelia Mitchell of Conroe; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be nine thirty Saturday morning, February 20th, 2010 at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas 77535, (936) 258-2678 with Pastor A. G. Lestarjette officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near Livingston. Visitation with friends and family will be from six to eight in the evening Friday, February 19th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Odis Divin, Tom Eaton, Kenneth Forrest, Dennis Guettler, Seth Hicks and Jesse Miller. Condolences for Opal's family may be left online at www.sterlingfuneralhome.com
