Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, May 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m., at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Interment will immediately follow at Hodges Town Cemetery, Hodges, Alabama, with full military honors. Officiating will be Brother Brandon Campbell of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The graveside military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard from Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, Alabama. Ed is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marla (Avery) Minter; a brother, Don Hale Minter; sons, Edward H. Minter IV (Kelli), Gregory L. Miller (Jenna), Andrew T. Miller (Tori); daughter, Nicole Minter Akers (Blue); grandchildren, Amanda Minter Bragwell (Hunter), Christopher Edward Minter, Logan Miller, Alexis Miller, Jackson Miller, and another grandchild arriving in November ; great-grandchildren: Crosby and Riley Bragwell;nephews and nieces, Don Hale Minter Jr. , Brian Minter, Alicia Minter, and Susan Minter. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward H. Minter, Jr. (Find A Grave Memorial #195870848) and Ruth Graham Minter (Find A Grave Memorial #195870961).
