  Notes	According to the IGI Edward and his sisters Miriam and Maria were baptised on 25 October 1835. The England & Wales, Christening Index, 1530-1980 at ancestry.com also has this 1835 baptism. 1861 census: (indexed under MINTON), in Stonegravels, Newbold (all MINTER), Edward (head, 27, colliery labourer, born Essex), Ann (wife, 22, born Newbold, Essex), William (son, 3, born Newbold, Essex) and Frank [Francis] (son, 10 months, born Newbold, Essex). 1871 census: at The Wharf, Newbold (all MINTER), Edward (head, 37, colliery labourer, born Wortham, Suffolk), Ann (wife, 32, born Newbold, Derbyshire), William (son, 13, scholar, born Newbold, Derbyshire), Francis (son, 10, scholar, born Newbold, Derbyshire), Elizabeth (daughter, 9, scholar, born Newbold, Derbyshire) and Edward (son, 1 month, scholar (sic), born Newbold, Derbyshire). 1881 census: at The Wharf, Newbold (all MINTER), Edward (head, 47, labourer in iron works, born Wortham, Suffolk), Ann (wife, 43, born Newbold, Derbyshire), William (son, 23, sawyer, born Newbold, Derbyshire) and Francis (son, 20, fetler in iron works, born Newbold, Derbyshire), Also in the house was Esther BOWLER (23, dressmaker, born Duckmanton, Derbyshire) who was to marry William in 1888. 1891 census: at 3 The Wharf, Newbold (all MINTER), Edward (head, 57, furnace labourer, born Wortham, Suffolk), Ann (wife, 52, born Newbold, Derbyshire) and Martha Ann (granddaughter, (7, born Newbold, Derbyshire). Also Walter SMITH, 39, widower, son in law, cast iron dresser, born Whittington Moor, Derbyshire) (daughter Elizabeth Ann's husband). Son Francis lived at 11 Canal Wharf and is listed following his father. Edward died in 1908. 1911 census: at 25 The Wharf, Chesterfield (4 rooms), Ann MINTER (head, 70, widow, born Chesterfield), Martha Ann STEVENSON (daughter, 27, married 4 years, 2 children both living, born Chesterfield), Charles Ed. STEVENSON (son in law, 27, married, corporal in coal mine, born Chesterfield), Charles Ed. STEVENSON (son, 8, born Chesterfield) and Dorothy May STEVENSON (daughter, 1, born Chesterfield). Form signed Charles Edward Stevenson.
