  Notes	Thomas's birthplace is given as Ireland in the 1861 census, as Belfast, Ireland in the 1871 & 1881 censuses. 1861 census: at Little Cothier(?), Norton, Kent (both ATKINS), Thomas (39, railway labourer, born Ireland) and Eliza (47, born Eastling). 1871 census: in a cottage in Eastling, Kent (both ATKINS), Thomas (49, farm labourer, born Belfast, Ireland) and Eliza Harriett (54, born Eastling). 1881 census: in Greestreet, Lynsted, Kent (both ATKINS), Thomas (58, ag lab, born Belfast, Ireland) and Eliza (63, born Eastling). Thomas died in Q1 1886 according to Peter Spain's family tree but it's unclear why the death was registered in Holborn. Another Thomas ATKINS death was registered, age 67, in Q1 1889 in Medway. A death certificate would show which is correct. 1891 census: Eliza ATKINS (widow, 75, born Eastling) was a visitor with Charlotte FULLER (widow, 82) at Gold Well Farm, Aldington, Kent. Eliza died in 1893.
