Frank was born before Sarah and Edward married - his birth certificate gives no father's name and appears to show his middle name as Shinley rather than Stanley. 1939 Register: at 216 Borough Road, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire (North Riding) (one of several households at this address): ROBSON, Edward R born 13 Feb 1898, married, motor driver. Edward was living by himself; his wife was with Joseph TUFFNELL. Edward enlisted "for the duration" on 27 November 1939. His trade on enlistment was barman and his next of kin was given as "Wife (VM)" of 216 Borough Road East, Middlesbrough. The name Alice Ann WOOD is written below the address - I haven't established a reason for this. Edward's service record is at Ancestry.com.
