Notes	From findagrave.com, Mar 2015: Family and friends are welcome to celebrate the life of Merle Lynn Minter, Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery through Griffin Mortuary. Willie Griffin will officiate. Merle passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at home after a short illness. He was born to Ray and Naomi Minter, Sept. 27, 1951 in Meadow, Texas. He graduated from Lubbock High School where he played the Tuba in the marching band. He also spent four years in the Navy. Merle spent most of his life as a truck driver and retired several years ago. Merle gave his life to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ many years ago was a joy to be with. His quirky sense of humor always made one smile. He will be missed by all those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Ray, Leon, Joe, Clayton, Wayne, Jerry, and Travis; and one sister, Margaret Bush.
