Sheryl was born on April 27, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born to Donald Minter and Ella Louise Lopez Minter. She was a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary. Sheryl was also a member of First Baptist Church. Preceding Sheryl in passing are her parents, Donald and Ella Minter; sister Vickie Elkins; and brother Randy Minter. She is survived by her beloved husband, Darel Elkins; son, Logan Elkins; son-in-law, Hollis Taylor; daughter, Whitney Elkins; daughter-in-law, Joi Elkins; brother-in-laws, Daniel Robertson, and Charlie Elkins; sister-in-law, Shannan Robertson; grandchildren, Hannalia Elkins, Hollis Lane Taylor, Kaden Key, and Jaceton Garner; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life for Sheryl will be held at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel on August 3, 2024, at 11:00 am.
