MICHAEL CHARLES MINTER 1959 - 2008 Passed away suddenly on June 29 th in Kamloops, B.C. Survived by his sons, Christopher, Nicholas and Colin, and their mother Pauline, sisters Donna Newstead (Marty), Kathy Seiter (Gordon), niece Kayleigh, and nephews Tyler and Kaeden. Also survived by his mother, Eileen Minter (Don Nelson). Predeceased by his father, Charles Robert Minter in 2005. Mike was born and raised in Summerland and graduated from Summerland High School in 1977. He was active in local hockey, basketball and baseball. Most of his working years were with CNR in Summerland, Edmonton, Prince George, and latterly, Kamloops. Following cremation, private internment will take place in The Garden of Remembrance, St. Stephen’s Church, Summerland. A celebration of life is to be planned at a later date.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mike Minter on June 30, 2008. Mike is survived by his wife Pauline, 3 sons: Christopher, Nicholas and Colin, his mother Eileen Minter (Don Nelson) of Summerland, sisters: Kathy (Gord) Seiter of Summerland and Donna (Marty) Newstead of Prince George, two nephews: Tyler and Kaeden and one niece Kayleigh. Mike was predeceased by his father Charles in 2005.
Mike was born on March 22, 1959 in Penticton, BC and was raised in Summerland. He started working for CN Rail right out of high school, which led him to other parts of BC and Alberta before finally settling in Kamloops with his family.
A private family graveside service will be held for Mike in Summerland at a later date.
