  Notes	In 1950 Ronald Francis appeared in court in Sleaford, Lincolnshire charged with obtaining money by false pretences from Prudential Assurance, for whom he had worked as an agent. According to a report of 15 March 1950 in the Lincolnshire Echo*, Ronald was tried at Birmingham Assizes, found giulty and sentenced to 12 months hard labour. * at findmypast.co.uk In 1954 Ronald was involved in a court case in which his former employer Bjorlow (Great Britain) Ltd attempted to get an injunction preventing Mr Minter from divulging a secret process for waterproofing suede leather. The judge decined to grant the injunction. Published in Surrey Advertiser from May 21 to June 18, 2010: MINTER, Ronald Francis (Ron) passed away in his sleep on 15th May aged 86 following a long illness. Sadly missed by family and friends. Service to be held on 28th May at 11.45am at Woking Crematorium. No flowers please, donations to Woking Hospice.
