Roger Gage officiating. Louise was born October 31, 1921, in Rusk County, Texas, and went to meet her Lord on Friday, August 7, 2009. She was a resident of Gladewater for 69 years, a beautician for almost 60 years, and an active member and leader in the Eastern Star for many years. Minter, Amy and George Crenshaw, and Tammy Smith; by her children-by-marriage from her second marriage, T.C., Jr. and Nancy Erwin, Rose Tallent, and Dr. Jack and Helan Erwin; by six grandchildren; ten grandchildren-in-marriage; and thirteen great-grandchildren-by-marriage. She is also survived by a brother, P. C. and Mary Howeth; by a sister, Ruby Cochran; and by a cousin, David and Virginia Alexander, whom she considered to be another son and daughter in-law. Louise was preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, Jack Minter, who died from a car accident; and by her second husband of about 20 years, T. C. Erwin Sr.; and by several siblings. Internment will be in Strong Cemetery about 10 miles east of Henderson off Hwy 79 near where Louise grew up.
