Thomas Early Minter

1884 - 1953  (69 years)

• Name	Thomas Early Minter
Birth	19 Mar 1884	Upson County, Georgia, USA   [1]
  Gender	Male
  _UID	B1C9688950FD4A5E92A2DE0BDDA7085E678D
Death	14 Nov 1953	Gladewater, Gregg County, Texas, USA   [1, 2]
Burial	Gladewater Memorial Park, Gladewater, Upshur County, Texas, USA   [2]
Notes	1920 United States Federal Census: not found. 1930 United States Federal Census: in Precinct 1, Panola, Texas (all MINTER, all born Texas except Thomas), Earl (head, 46, married at 35, born Georgia, log cutter, lumber mill), Lee (wife, 29, married at 18*), Plez (son, 15, log cutter, lumber mill), Ida M (daughter, 14), Cullen (son, 12, log cutter, lumber mill)), James (son, 9), Nelly M (daughter, 6), Arthur (son, 4 years 1 month) and Billie (son, 1 year 2 months). Census done on 16 April. * this means that Thomas and Lee married about 1919, so "Plez" and Ida must have been born to Thomas's first wife, whose identity isn't known. 1940 United States Federal Census: in Gladewater, Gregg, Texas (all MINTER, all born Texas except Thomas), Thomas E (head, 57, born Georgia, labourer, odd jobs), Lee (wife, 39), James (son, 19, clerk, grocery store), Nellie May (daughter, 16), Arthur (son, 14) and Billie (son, 11). Thomas's tombstone gives his middle name as Early, which agrees with the entry in the 1910 census (see father's Notes). The tombstone gives his dates as 1881 - 1953. The first of these is highly suspect.
