  Notes	An email from Ron Minter on 15 Dec 2006 reports (from ancestry.com) that an Alfred George Minter, age 39(?), occupation hostler, friend or relative James Minter of 26 Endsleigh Road, Southall, sailed to the US from Newcastle upon Tyne in 1911. His last place of residence was Southall. This may relate to this Alfred George. Ancestry.com has records showing that a service pension was paid to Alfred George. A form was signed at Dorchester on 6 September 1892 and gives service number 7417, Hampshire Regiiment, age 18 years 1 month, birthplace Poonah near Bombay, occupation, Clerk. There is another form dated 4 February 1889 for an Alfred George Minter age 15 years 6 months, born Poonah which shows service in the Oxfordshire Light Infantry and a 3rd form signed at Newcastle on 16 November 1914 for the same name, age 40 years 4 months relating to service with the North Staffs Regiment. No birthplace is shown on this form. 1921 census: at 58, Clifford Street, Southampton, Hampshire, Alfred George MINTER (head, 47y 11m, married, born Poona, E India, night watchman with Gas Distribution Coy, Nuneaton, working at home). Alfred's wife was with Alfred's mother Maria - see her Notes for details. 1939 Register: at Westdale, Bults Road, Hedge End, Winchester R.D., Hampshire MINTER, Alfred G born 15 Jul 1873, married, aircraft storeman MINTER, Mary L born 21 Jun 1892, married, unpaid domestic duties.
