He was a son of the late Drewry Minter and Roxie Thompson Minter. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Betty Richardson Minter, 6 sons, Dewey, Clifford, Clyde, Billy and Jackie Minter, all of Rt. 4, City, and Willard Minter, Rt. 1, City, and four daughters; Mrs. Elizabeth Thornton, City; Mrs. Dorothy Clark, Roanoke; Mrs. Irene Atkins, Collinsville, and Mrs. Helen Wright of Alabama. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Ashby and Mrs. Ruby Davis and one brother, Ernest Minter.
