  Notes	The spelling of Almena/Almina varies from record to record. But her baptismal record says Almena, daughter of Charlotte HUNSLEY, single woman. Given the statement in Jane Hunsley's obituary that she was "denied the blessings of children" but adopted several children, I suspect that Almena wasn't George and Jane's natural daughter but an adopted one. It seems very likely that her mother was in fact George's sister Charlotte: there is a baptismal record in the Messingham Baptismal Register for Almena Hunsley, baptised at Holy Trinity, Messingham on 15 December 1848, mother Charrlotte Hunsley, single woman.
