- Thomas grew up in Simms, Tx, living with his father. He graduated from James Bowie Schools at Simms in 1940 and went to live with his mother and sisters. He served in the Army during World War II. After discharge, he joined his sisters who were living in San Diego, CA
and got into the Tuna fishing business which was thriving in San Diego in the 1950's. He was found dead in a San Diego hotel room. Cause of death unkown.
Thomas never married. He worked on Tuna Boats out of San Diego until his death.
