  Notes	Henry Randolph Minter was born in Upson county Georgia in 1832. The family moved to Heard County Ga in the 1840's and were living in Talapoosa County, AL in 1850, then into what is now Clay County Al in the 1850's. Henry remained there the rest of his life. He is buried in the Lineville Cemetery in Clay Co., AL. Henry served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. He also served two years as Tax Collector/Assessor for Clay County. 1860 United States Federal Census: in Southern Division, Randolph County, Alabama (all MINTER), Henry R (26, farmer, born Georgia), Sarah (24, housewife, born Georgia), Mary J (6, born Alabama), Victoria (4, born Georgia) and Mahala E (1, born Alabama).
