| Notes |
- Per Tinch Minter, whose younger sister found a slip of printed paper, Anne was born at 11.30 pm.
It's not clear whether Anne married or not, but probably not.
In 1861 she was living in Norwich Road, Westgate, Ipswich, aged 28, a dressmaker, and described as married. With her were two children, Thomas (2) and William (8 months), neither of whom can be found under Minter in the IGI or the BMD Index, unless Wiiliam was Luke William, whose birth was registered in Q3 1860 at Ipswich 4a/522 and death in Q3 1861 at Islington 1b/122 (which would explain why William appeared in the 1861 census but not thereafter). Also with Anne was a friend, Eliza COPPING, 27, milliner, born Essex.
In 1871, Annie (36), was living with and helping her mother in a grocery in Charsfield, Suffolk. Now however she was described as unmarried. Two children, Fanny (8) and Bessie (5) were with them, described as grandchildren of Annie's mother - they were Annie's children. Ann's first son, Thomas, was staying with her brother William in Wickham Market.
August 2009: Fanny was almost certainly Georgiana Fanny Minter born 14 March 1863 at Purflett Street, Ipswich; she was illegitimate and her mother's name is given as Anne Minter, Purflett Street, Ipswich.
In 1881, Anna (sic) (48), unmarried, was a general shopkeeper in Charsfield and Bessie (15) was her assistant. Ann's son Thomas was still with Ann's brother William. Daughter Fanny (18, schoolmistress) was lodging in Church Street, Semer, Suffolk.
Kelly's Directory 1883 lists Ann Minter as postmistress at Charsfield.
In 1891, Ann P. was 58, single, was postmistress and grocer in The Street, Charsfield. Her brother Henry's daughter Agnes was staying with her. Anne's son Thomas had married in 1889 and was living with his wife in Wickham Market, together with Thomas's cousin Clara (27). Clara was Henry and Elizabeth's daughter - in 1881 she was staying with her grandmother, Elizabeth Harper (65, a laundress), in Turnpike Road, Marlesford.
In 1901 (indexed as MUSTER by ancestry.com), Annie P, 68, was living as housekeeper at Lynn House, Snowde/on Hill, Wickham Market, Suffolk, with her sister-in-law Martha Minter, 85, who was living on her own means, born Benhall, Suffolk. Martha was Annie's brother William's widow.
1911 census: as Priscilla Ann Minter (78, single, born Marlesford, Suffolk), a boarder at 35 Chevalier Street, Ipswich (6 rooms), home of John Sebborn GONNER (who signed the form), his wife and daughter.
1921 census: as Anna P Minter (88y 5m, single, born Marlesford, Suffolk), a boarder at 35 Chevalier Street, Ipswich (6 rooms), home of John Sebborn GONNER, his wife and daughter.
