  Notes	1881 census: Samuel and Sarah were living with Samuel's parents at 9 Arthur Cottages, Back Street, Acton. Kelly's Directory for Ealing, Acton ..., 1889-90 lists a Samuel Minter at 12 Beaconsfield Road, Chiswick (and a Richard Minter at 4 Beaconsfield Road, Chiswick). In 1881, 1883, 1886 & 1888, Samuel was living in Back Street, Acton, a bricklayer. 1891 census: a bricklayer's labourer at 20 Middle Street, Acton with wife and children - William (9), Margaret (8), Sarah A. (5), Samuel C. (2) and Millie M. (properly Nellie M.) (1 month). In 1896 when son Percy was baptised Samuel lived at 2 Saville Road, a labourer. 1901 census: a general labourer, living at 4 Saville Road, Acton with family as in 1891 plus Lillian (9), Percy (5) and George (3). From findmypast.co.uk - the Acton Gazette of 6 June 1902 reported that Samuel Minter, labourer of 4 Saville Road, Acton Green was charged at the West London Police Court with disorderly conduct and using obscene language, and further, with assaulting two policemen, Samuel denied the charge but was ordered to find surety of £10 to keep the peace for 12 months, or in default 28 days. In 1904 when son Edward was baptised Samuel lived at 4 Beaconsfield Road, a labourer. 1911 census: at 12 Fletcher Road, Acton Green, Middlesex (4 rooms), Samuel (head, 55, married, bricklayers labourer, worker, born Acton Green), Sarah (wife, 48, married 30 years, 9 children, 8 living 1 died, ironer, at home, born Acton Green), Samuel (son, 22, single, rly engine cleaner, L&NW Rly, worker, born Acton Green), Percy (son, 15, single, tool-room boy on SW Rly, worker, born Acton Green) and George (son, 12, school, born Acton Green). Form signed Percy Richard Minter 1921 census: at 76 Church Path, Acton Green, Middlesex, Samuel C MINTER (head, 67y 1m, married, born Acton Green, labourer, drainwork, with Acton District Council), Sarah A MINTER (wife, 62y 11m, married, born Acton Green, caretaker at Acton Green W [Wesleyan?] Chapel), Sidney V CLACK (son-in-law, 24, married, born Broughton Regis, Oxfordshire, machine operator (flex tube) with S Smith & Sons, manufacturer of motor accessories, Cricklewood, London), Lilian V R CLACK (daughter, 28y 4m, married, born Acton Green, home duties) and Christopher S CLACK (grandson, 6 months, born Acton Green).
