Visitation from 10 a.m. to the time of service. The Rev. Pat Gillespie will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik. Lorraine Minter, 63, of Virginia died Friday, July 18, 2003, at her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Lorraine was born to Charles and Helen (Rautio) Pearson on July 2, 1940, in Chicago, Ill. She grew up in Duluth and graduated from Denfeld High School. Lorraine was united in marriage to Leslie R. Minter on July 16, 1960, in Duluth. The couple lived in Duluth until moving to Virginia in 1972. She worked as a sales clerk at the Hallmark Card and Party Shop in Virginia. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Northern Club Auxiliary. Surviving are her daughter, Amy Kemp of St. Cloud; son, Leslie Minter Jr. of Virginia; three grandchildren, Cassandra, Joseph and Jacob Kemp, all of St. Cloud; two sisters, Joan (Robert) Nading of Saginaw and her twin, Lenore (Lloyd) Westermann of Deer River; two brothers, Robert Pearson of Duluth and Donald Pearson of Duluth; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Pat Pearson of Duluth.
