  Notes	Most of the information is taken from Stephen Hunsley's work on the Hunsley family. Edmund C. Hunsley was born on September 12,1841 in Lincolnshire,England. He was a School Teacher by Profession. He came to America and enlisted on August 15, 1862 in Co. G 10th Regiment Ill. Calvalry. His Captain was Wm. T. Wooten. He was Honorably Discharged on June 5, 1865. On January 12, 1871 he married Mary Eliz. Cantrell. After the war he kept a bookstore for two years in Bement, ILL. They moved to a farm near Cisco, ILL., then into Cisco. Edmund died on April 18,1919 in Stilson, IA. Both he and his wife are buried in Cisco, ILL. The following US census information appears at Ancestry: 1880 non-population census for Willow Branch, Piatt County, Illinois: Edmund HUNSLEY, with details of land etc. 1880 US Federal Census for Willow Branch, Piatt County, Illinois (all HUNSLEY): Edmund (37, farmer, born England), Mary (33, keeping house, born Illinois), Laura (8, at school, born Illinois), Irving (6, born Illinois), Howard (4, born Illinois) and Arthur (2, born Illinois). Edmund's brother Henry appears on the same page just above Edmund. 1900 US Federal Census for Willow Branch, Piatt County, Illinois (all HUNSLEY): Edmund (born Jan 1848 (sic), 52, day laborer, immigrated 1850, born England), Mary E (born Sep 1848 (sic), 51, married 29 years, 9 children, 7 living, born Illinois, father born Ohio, mother born Virginia), Irvie (born Jun 1874, 25, farmer, born Illinois), Mary (born Sep 1882, 17, at school, born Illinois) and Marcell (born Jul 1891, 8, at school, born Illinois). The 1910 US Federal Census for Distict 0016, Cherokee, Iowa includes an Edmund HUNSLEY, 58, married, born England of English parents. He was apparently by himself - it's unclear whether the entry refers to this Edmund. When the 1920 census was done, Edmund's widow was with her son (George) Howard.
