It's clear from the above and from the 1921 census and 1939 Reguster entries for William Henry's wife Dorothy (cf.) that they had separated some time before 1921. 1939 Register: at 36 Springfield Drive, Ilford M.B., Essex, Minter, William H born 27 Sep 1888, married, school teacher Minter, Jennie born 19 Jan 1901, married, unpaid domestic duties Who was Jennie?? William's wife appeared in the 1939 Register as Dorothy Tailford, apparently separate from William.
