But two things don't seem to match: firstly his birthplace is shown as England and secondly his wife is shown as Harriett, 75 (!), 'keep house', born England. The above entry appears on the same page as that for a John Minter, very likely William's brother. 1900 US census: in District 295, Brooklyn Ward 19, Kings, New York - see father's Notes.
