  Notes	Some of the information about Charles Edward's family has been taken from the LDS Pedigree Resource File and has not been otherwise verified. Ancestry.com has some of Charles' service record. He joined the Royal Field Artillery on 11 May 1903. At the time he was a carpenter. He spent some time as a gunner and after 13 years 2 days service, all spent 'at home', was discharged on 12 May 1916. His next of kin were his wife (who was with him) and his father Thomas and mother Ann who lived at 5 Lyf.... Ct, Woolwich. Charles and Elizabeth Bunyan married on 20 November 1903 a Woolwich Register Office. Charles died aged 84 in 1969. The record at FamilySearch shows his spouse as Cigne Amanda ADAMS so it looks as if Charles married again after Elizabeth died in 1955. Another record at FamilySearch shows that a Noreen Winifred Minter, born 24 December 1921 at Regina, Saskatchewan, died on 10 March 1971 - spouse Charles Edward Minter. So could Charles have married 3 times? August 2020: email from Jonathan Pirillo, Charles Edward Minter's great grandson. Jonathan says "Charles Edward Minter was married twice; first to Elizabeth Bunyan. After her death, Charles Edward Minter married again to Amanda; they were still married when he passed in 1969. Charles Edward Miniter's son Charles John Edward Minter married Ella Devitt."

  	Married by banns. Thomas Minter, of age, bachelor, driver Royal Artillery, of Artillery Barracks, father William Minter, farmer. Ann Togwell, minor, spinster of Artillery Place, father William Togwell, waterman. Thomas signed, Ann marked. Witnesses James Wakefield and Hannah Sparrow both signed. Thomas's army service record also notes his marriage details as taking place on 9 October 1865 at Woolwich, Kent. However, the witnesses' names are shown as Pte. William Minter and Pte William Togwell. The latter was probably Ann's brother, who would have been about 22 at the time of the marriage. Pte. William Minter's identity has yet to be established: it's unlikely to have been Thomas's father but if was Thomas's brother it may be a clue to Thomas's ancestry.
