  Notes	1851 census: Amelia HADAWAY, a widow, 32, was living in the Poor Houses, Seasalter, Kent with her children Richard (14, labourer), Hannah (10), John (?) and Jane (5). Richard must have been John Hadaway's son from his first marriage. 1861 census: re-married, Amelia MAXTED (42) was living in Faversham Road, Seasalter with her husband William MAXTED (61, labourer) and children Ellen (9) and Emma (2). No sign of the children of her first marriage. 1871 census: in Seasalter, William MAXTED (71, road labourer, born Herne, Kent), Amelia (53, born Bridge, Kent), Emma (12, born Seasalter) and George H (9, born Seasalter). 1881 census: Amelia, a widow again, aged 63, was living in Seasalter with her married daughter Ellen STEPHENSON (29), her husband Henry Benjamin STEPHENSON (age ?, a shepherd) and two daughters. 1891 census: now a widow aged 73, living on her own means, Amelia was a boarder with Esther HADLOW (married, 62, born Margate, Kent) in Oxford Street, Whitstable, Kent.
