Note, December 2007. Correspondence with Ray Eyles has revealed that the Samuel Edward JOYCE referred to above as the son of Robert JOYCE was in fact the illegitimate son of Eliza Minter born Q1 1842, Christchurch, Southwark, Surrey. It's not known who Samuel Edward's father was but it could conceivably have been Robert JOYCE.
