April 2015:I received the following email from Sally Bruce: "Discovered your tree when looking for the Lake family of Nottingham (no relation to me other than connection by marriage).You may be interested in two other links between the Lake and Hancock families. You have James Addison Lake married to Catherine Hancock in 1843. Catherine's younger brother, Samuel Hancock born 1824 married Ann Lake in 1849 in Nottingham, Ann being the younger sister of James Addison Lake. Samuel and Ann's grandson, Arthur T. Hancock, born 1880 in Singapore, married Virginia Helen Lake (his cousin) in Penang, Malaysia 1910. The Hancock family were lace manufacturers, merchants and machine builders in Nottingham. Samuel Hancock born 1795 and Charlotte (nee Wyvill) are my great-great-great Grandparents."
