Also appears in the 1894 version as Percy Minter, 14 Forest Road, Kew. 1901 census: at 13 Bernard Road, St Pancras, London, Percy (35, clerk in Admiralty) and Mary (50). Also Percy's sister Edith K (31, hospital nurse). The 1901 census shows Percy's name clearly as Perry. 1911 census: at 41 Bernard Street, Russell Square, London (13 rooms), Percy (45, married, HM Civil Service, Admiralty, born London) and Mary (58, married 21 years, no children, born Pangbourne) were boarders. Head of the house was Fanny Marian ROBINSON (51, single, boardinghouse keeper). The Times (London, England), Saturday, Oct 27, 1917; pg. 3; Issue 41620 announced the setting up of a Flax Control Board, on which Percy Minter was to serve representing the Admiralty. 1939 Register: at Staddleswood, Platt, Malling R.D., Kent Minter, Percy born 3 Mar 1866, widower, admiralty civil official, retired EVANS, Horace J born 2 Jun 1899, married, gardener & poultry keeper EVANS, Isabella A born 18 Aug 1901, married, housekeeper BRIGGS, later CLARKE, Jeanette E born 15 Mar 1916, single, evacuation helper --- 1 closed record --- GREEN, Ernest W J born 1 Sep 1926, single. Percy appears in Who's Who 2012, which gives career details: Joined Contract Department of Admiralty, 1883; Assistant Director, 1912; Deputy Director of Navy Contracts, 1918; retired, 1926. Made a CBE in 1920 (this was announced in The Times (London, England), Wednesday, Mar 31, 1920; pg. 18; Issue 42373). From England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1966 at Ancestry.com: Minter Percy of Staddleswood St Marys Platt Kent died 7 September 1955 Administration (with Will) London 14 February 1956 to Phyllis Garlick Minter widow [wife of nephew Frank Minter].
