  Notes	Thomas's 1952 marriage certificate give's the groom's surname as Norval Harrison Grant but there is an official note in the margin which reads as follows: In No 14 Col. 2 for "Norval Harrison Grant" read "Thomas Charles Minter" formerly known as "Norval Harrison Grant or Hugh Grant. Col. 7 for Father's name read "Thomas Charles Minter" (adoptive parent) and Col. 8 for rank or Profession read "Police Constable". Corrected on the fifth day of April 1953 A. J. Trillo in the presence of Francis Dudley Darken and Francis Ronald Gobey, Church Wardens A Statutary declaration as to the facts having been made by Thomas Charles Minter (Adoptive Parent) A J Trillo, Rector F D Darken F R Gobey Church Wardens. I've been unable to trace Thomas's birth registration in 1930 or 1931 under either Minter or Grant. His birth year of about 1930 is extrapolated from his 1952 marriage certificate on which his age was given as 21.
